  3. 3. <ul><li>When you create an account you should also </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Install the del.icio.us button in your browser </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><ul><li>This makes it really simple to tag sites </li></ul></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Upload your current bookmarks </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><ul><li>You obviously saved them for a reason!! </li></ul></ul></ul>

Creating a Bookmark <ul><li>If you have added the del.icio.us button to your toolbar </li></ul><ul><ul><li>When visiting the website you wish to tag/bookmark, click on the tag button </li></ul></ul><ul><li>If you are on a computer which you cannot add the del.icio.us button to (eg school), you can log into del.icio.us and click on the words “save a new bookmark” in the upper right hand corner of your screen </li></ul><ul><ul><li>This requires that you cut and paste the URL in </li></ul></ul>
  5. 5. Adding A Bookmark via the Button <ul><li>You can opt not to share a link </li></ul><ul><li>by clicking on the recommended or popular tags you can quickly add tags </li></ul><ul><li>you may also see who has bookmarked this by clicking on PEOPLE </li></ul>

People <ul><li>My Network </li></ul><ul><ul><li>if you have added people to your network </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>clicking on this option will return all their recent bookmarks </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><ul><li>This is great because once you find people who are like minded, you can count on them to find some great resources </li></ul></ul></ul><ul><li>Go to a User </li></ul><ul><ul><li>if you know a specific user’s “name” you can type in their name and it will return all their public bookmarks </li></ul></ul>

Tags <ul><li>My Tags </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Will bring you to a page with your PERSONAL tags in a “cloud” sized by number of references </li></ul></ul><ul><li>My Subscriptions </li></ul><ul><ul><li>You can subscribe to a tag and see what bookmarks have recently been assigned it </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><ul><li>You can limit this to a specific person </li></ul></ul></ul><ul><ul><ul><li>Or it can be wide open </li></ul></ul></ul><ul><li>Explore </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Will bring you to a page with everyone’s tags in a “cloud” sized by number of references </li></ul></ul>
