What is Shout Out Social ?#SOS09 <ul><li>A global, grassroots community organized art exhibition, weekend of 14/15 th March 2009 </li></ul><ul><li>Raising money for an important non-profit cause </li></ul><ul><li>Screening in digital bars like Horse Bazaar in Melbourne and virtually in homes and coffee shops around the world, in Secondlife, on laptops, iPodS - you name it! You choose the art. You show it. You make a difference. </li></ul>Anyone can submit artwork. Why Shout Out? <ul><ul><li>The funds raised from this event will assist a group of 15 to 30 people (mostly women) with loans to grow their small businesses, empowering them to change social and living conditions in their community </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>AU$10,000 will create a Trust Bank Program. Money covers the loans, which are recycled, and administration costs such as a Loan Officer and training for the women. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>To take action, raise awareness and funds for a bunch of women in the Philippines to free themselves from poverty </li></ul></ul>
  4. 4. How can I participate? Image: now Create an image Use your artistic skills to create a “Shout Out” illustration or photo between now and March 15th 2009. Host an event Showcase artwork at your café or gallery OR host a coffee morning and display the artwork on a laptop at work, pass a hat around for donations Join in on Facebook to find out more

How can I submit artwork? <ul><li>Create and share your images on Flickr, Youtube, Slideshare </li></ul><ul><li>Submit an image that imspires or ‘shouts’ along with a word that matters eg ‘hope’ or ‘opportunity’ etc </li></ul>Use a Creative Commons license so your work can be re-used Share your Photos and Illustrations on Flickr Group Shout Out Social anytime from now up to March 15 th + ‘an inspiring word’ = now Flickr Group: /
