  10. 10. In a well-ordered school, the main reliance for control of this or that individual is upon the activities carried on and upon the situations in which these activities are maintained. The teacher reduces to a minimum the occasions in which he or she has to exercise authority in a personal way.
  11. 11. Manage Mobility with Mobility • Move, move, move! • Give clear instructions about mobile devices. • Juggle teams regularly. • Or not! • Above all: assign meaningful work, with student input and, thus, student buy-in and complicity
  12. 12. Monkey See Monkey Do
  13. 13. Google 20% M&Ms Ts&Cs...yikes! Why doesn’t work get done at work? & GRR

  15. 15. BENEATH THE SURFACE
  16. 16. Take it like a Paratrooper • You may be on your own • Be ready for anything • Make do with what you’ve got • Plan for broad situations: contingency mindset, not contingency plans • Team up as soon as and whenever you can! Strength in numbers... • Above all: be resilient
  17. 17. Connections to the Open Space • Resilient teachers • Classroom management • Meaningful tools and tasks • Invisible tech: integration & documentation
