Bali spirit festival from april 2nd to 8th 2018

  1. 1. BaliSpirit Festival from April 2nd to 8th 2018 Now in its eleventh year, the BaliSpirit Festival will run from April 2nd to 8th , 2018. This year’s festival be will staged using a new format. The duration will be 6 days of yoga, dance, meditation and breathwork workshops and 7 nights of music concerts, all taking place at the Bhanuswari Resort, Ubud. The festival is held at Arma resort which is home to the retreat centre for Bali Weight Loss another sponsor of the much awaited BaliSpirit Festival. Long considered a leading centre for yoga, healing and wellness, the 2018 BaliSpirit Festival will seal Ubud’s position as the world’s number one destination for yoga, health and wellness retreats. Over the last 10 years, the BaliSpirit Festival has continued to grow from strength to strength, and now attracts over 7000 people from more than 50 different countries each year to Ubud, Bali. Past BaliSpirit Festival attendees have described their experience as ‘life changing’, ‘uplifting’ and ‘inspirational’. BaliSpirit Festival attendees connect with each other and themselves through yoga, meditation, movement and breathwork in a community of like-minded people. Since “Eat Pray Love” starring Julia Roberts as Elizabeth Gilbert, a film based on Gilbert’s best-selling memoir Eat, Pray, Love, droves of people have discovered and rediscovered Bali. As a living museum of a unique culture based on Hindu beliefs, the soft and gentle ways of the Balinese have tempted many a visitor to pursue wellness and weight loss programs as part of their holidays. Attendees of the 2017 BaliSpirit Festival held at the Arma Museum and Resort reported experiencing a truly special fusion of Balinese and Western culture. Many attributed this to the wonderful programming and diverse groups participating, performing and taking part in the events. For some, while it might be too heady a statement to say they felt evolved after the 2017 festival, a return in 2018 to continue with their journey of self-discovery and perhaps a longer stay after the festival ends to enrol in a wellness and weight loss program are on the cards.
  2. 2. As an exotic holiday destination, Ubud’s temples, spirituality, rich culture and breath- taking scenery have firmly got first timers to Ubud hooked, and they now make Ubud an annual or bi-annual pilgrimage. Notwithstanding being a small and busy town, Ubud caters to those who seek a chance to reflect, and achieve some spiritual realisation in its tranquil surroundings of jade green rice fields, dramatic ravines and rivers as well as those who seek a more traditional holiday of good restaurants, bars and adventure.
