  2. 2. Investing in Africa Africa's rise as a favourable investment destination has been notable to many investors across the world. The continent is widely regarded as having many rewarding emerging markets that investors can benefit from.
  3. 3. One of the key reasons why Africa attracts investors is the abundance of natural resources. There are vast, untapped reserves of oil and gas, hydroelectric power, and some of its countries are rich in precious metals such as platinum, gold, iron ore, diamond and uranium. Additionally, only a small percentage of the continent's arable land is being used, yet it holds a significant portion of the cultivable land in the world. Also working in Africa's favour is the presence of a large and relatively young population that provides a good labour force. Many countries in the continent also enjoy political stability, which has led to better policies on governance and trade. It's interesting to note that some of the world's fastest-growing economies are found in Africa. They include the likes of Ethiopia, Ivory Coast, Tanzania, Rwanda and Mozambique, among many others. The growth has been notable in sectors such as infrastructure, telecommunications and banking.
