All About Me Jennifer
Where I Came from

I came from ghetto LA, Ca

First I lived in Norwalk for the first 7 years of my life

Then we moved to Bell for the next 8 years.

Both places are filled with Mexicans and Latinos. Both places are very ghetto.

My Homes

LA is very ghetto, at least where I grew up. It could have been worse in other places like Downtown LA so I’m glad it was not that bad for me.

I enjoyed my life in these dangerous streets hearing the ambulance pass by often, hearing gunshots some nights, seeing people play basketball in the park, playing basketball with many people, and not being able to go to my house every once in a while cause there is a hostage problem right in front of my house.

Living in LA has made me less scared of the world and make me realize what is important. If I could still be there today, I would. Even though it was ghetto, it was home to me.

My First Home

My first home was very simple. It was not that big, it had a couple of trees, it was cozy, it was nice.

I have so many memories with that home like when one of my dolls began to talk with no batteries in it. It scared me so much, I began playing sports and gave up dolls all together.

I also remember the first time I went on top of the roof. It was awesome cause I could see everything around. If it wasn’t for that first time, I would have taken me years to realize that being on top of roofs is one of my favorite things to do. I still enjoyed it even after I fell and sprained my ankle and wrists.

There is no way I will ever forget my first home, unless I get Alzheimer or something that involves memory loss.

City of Bell

There were many activities in the City of Bell.

Every time we went to competition for some of the activities, the lowest score we got was 3 rd place.

The cops were really nice too. One can break curfew and they wouldn’t do anything cause they knew we weren’t doing anything.

They also kept the trouble makers away so they were doing their job.
