If you are around negativepeople, creating change in your life becomes almost impossible.To access your subconscious mind and find hidden solutions to your problems andquestions, write in your journal each night before bed. Write about your day andask yourself, in writing, how you might have improved any reoccurring negativesituations. Once you have written your questions, do not dwell on them. If you fallasleep concentrating on negativity you will only create more negativity. Yoursubconscious mind will work it out overnight and may present you with an answerin the morning!Everyone has heard “live this day as if it were your last.” How many people reallydo this? Very few because our problems in the moment seem to overtake anyconscious thoughts of why we are acting the way we do. Since every day actuallycould be our last, just keep this in mind as you yell at your spouse for not takingout the garbage. Consciously choose to acknowledge whether that is this the lastthing you want to say to them because it very well could be.Determine what your personal development goals are in your life – are youworking on being a better spouse, parent, employee, etc. Whatever they are putyour focus towards them each day. Clarifying your life goal is the best way tomove through life on a mission, with aim, and with the desire to achieve the thingsyou want in life.Make charitable donation a part of your personal development program. I knowyou think you are too busy but there are charities out there that will align with yourinterests making you value the time you give to them. It will not feel like asacrifice. Making monetary donations is a great way to contribute to yourcommunity when time isn’t available. When you help others out no matter howsmall you will experience pride in yourself and boost your self-image.
I want to point out I said self-image because donating your time and money tocharity to increase your social status is not the same. It does not matter whatothers think of you, only what you think of yourself.When trying to tackle that long to-do list, one effective technique for efficiency isto do the most difficult tasks first. When you don’t all you do is spend your timedwelling on what you have to do later vs. the excitement of being done thehardest task first. That sets up a great mood of success for the rest of your dayand you will actually get more done then choosing the small fun tasks first.Remember, do the tough jobs first for maximum productivity at work and home.It is always good practice to take inventory of the things you currently allow inyour life that are holding back your personal development goals. These thingsshould be eliminated or limited to allow you to experience a higher level ofpersonal success. When it comes to reaching your life goal, there is no room fordistraction.Your personal development goals can be achieved by going forward purposefully,each and every day.
