  1. 1. A GUIDE TO CREATING WITH QUIKMAPS <ul><li>Log onto Quikmaps - you will need to register to create your own maps. </li></ul><ul><li>http://www.quikmaps.com/ </li></ul>Created by Wendy North 06/03/2008 GA ICTWG and Primary Project Leader – Action Plan for Geography
  2. 2. <ul><li>Locate the place where you want to create your own map – try turning the different views (map, satellite, hybrid, terrain) on and off. </li></ul><ul><li>Explore the symbols that are available to you – the default set is displayed but if you press on the down arrow in the box at the side of the word Markers a list of available icons are given.   3. 3. <ul><li>Drag an icon onto your map – click to open and then type in your message. Click once more in a blank space inside the box to save your text. Close the text box.   4. 4. <ul><li>Use the text label facility to label the map. </li></ul><ul><li>Use the drawing tool to create lines, paths, routeways.
