OAFB supports the teams who are feeding Ontarians living with chronic hunger• Directors / Managers from 120 food banks across province• Representing over 1,100 hunger relief programs in every county/region in Ontario• Helping 395,000 people in need each month• 37.5% are children and youth under 18• 784,460 meals served per month province-wide• 158,172 Ontario households served; 10% utilized a food bank for the first time in March 2011Sadly the numbers are not decreasing so our food banks need to continue to learn & grow to provide essential community services

OAFB’s Vision: A hunger-free OntarioNurturing communities we serveby providing food, funding andsolutions to reduce hunger inOntario o Acquiring & distributing greater volume of nutritious food o Engaging partners in fighting hunger o Building capacity at our food banks o Raising awareness of hunger-related issues o Advocating for public policy changes The goal of this conference is to give food bank staff & volunteers new tools to improve the efficiency & effectiveness of their work. Through learning, networking, recognition, inspiration & collaboration we can find new solutions and have a greater impact across the province.
