When you have located a resource you wish to view, click on the corresponding button. Clicking on the &quot;Go To Page&quot; button in the next dialog box will allow you to view the Web site by opening your Web Browser. If you prefer you can use this notecard as a reference to access these URLs outside Second Life. Please report broken links or suggestions for additional resources to Cat Galileo. 1. Washlaw's List of Public Law Libraries This page contains links to public state, county, and court law libraries in all 50 states. In many cases, reference librarians can help get you started on your own research or point you to a form you might need, although most of these libraries do not have lawyers available to answer legal questions. 2. Nolo Press is a respected publisher of legal self-help books. In addition to their catalog, their website features a glossary and many plain-English articles about the law. 3. US Court Forms Free site with official forms from all states and many agencies. In many cases you can fill the forms out prior to printing them for a professional look. Although the site is free, you will need to register. 4. LexisOne Lexis is a major publisher legal information, including one of the major electronic information sites, LexisNexis. is a portal for small law firms which offers some free content, including free forms. Again, you will need to register to use the site. 5. Findlaw offers free content for the public, including articles, forms, and links to state and federal laws. A nice feature right now is a special section with information on filing 2006 tax returns. Findlaw is now owned by the other major publisher of legal information on the web, West.
