In order to demonstrate the effectiveness of theHawaiiDiet™, we put a number of communityleaders, including the Governor and somerepresentatives of the Native Hawaiian community ofPapakolea Homestead, on the HawaiiDiet™ in a 3-week program.In 3 weeks, the group weight loss for the 23participants was 249.25 pounds. Average weight lossper person was 10.8 pounds. The highest weight losswas 21.75 pounds.Webhealthforyou.com
  13. 13. Average cholesterol decreased 23.6% (from an averageof 205 mg/dl to 157 mg/dl). At the beginning of theprogram, there were 11 people with cholesterol over200. At the end of the program there was only oneperson whose cholesterol was over 200.Average triglycerides decreased 36.3% from anaverage of 238 mg/dl to 152 mg/dl (normal range - 50mg/dl to 150 mg/dl). One persons triglyceridesdecreased 863 mg/dl from 988 mg/dl to 125 mg/dl.Another persons triglycerides decreased from 617mg/dl to 93 mg/dl.Webhealthforyou.com
  14. 14. Blood sugar in those with diabetes or borderlinediabetes fell an average of 38%, from an average of177 mg/dl to 122 mg/dl. This drop resulted eventhough the four participants on medication fordiabetes were able to reduce theirmedications, including one who got off 90 units ofinsulin.Average blood pressure fell from 130/79 to120/75. This resulted even after eliminating onepersons blood pressure medication when his bloodpressure dropped to normal levels, and also afterreducing the blood pressure medication of two otherpeople.Webhealthforyou.com
