  4. 4. We camp at Dungeness Recreation area near Sequim, on Friday and Saturday nights (we have camping equipment for newbies). On Saturday, half our group kayaks to the lighthouse at the end of the spit while the other half hikes out (about 5 miles). Then we switch off and the other half kayaks back while the kayakers hike back - a full body workout in a beautiful location. On Sunday, we break camp and have an outdoor worship service. Afterward, for those interested, they can go see the animals at the Olympic Game Farm. Warning: This is no zoo. You get up close and personal with buffaloes and other impressive animals (like grizzly bears). Then it's back home on the ferry. Cost: $20 per person for camping, $2 per family to go out on the Spit, plus ferry fee, plus Olympic Game Farm Charges ($12 per adult, kids under 5 are free). NOTE: This is Father's Day weekend so keep that in mind. You can skip the kayaking and hike both ways or just part way. It's a beautiful location no matter how far you go. This is a popular trip so sign up soon. $10 deposit to reserve your spot. You may write a check to the church and note on the check "OA Dungeness Spit Trip".
