Enhancing WB-CSOs relations in China <ul><li>1, WB is one of the close partners with Chinese CSOs among International organizations. </li></ul><ul><li>2, WB China Office has specific financial resource to support CSO innovation programmes on poverty reduction. </li></ul><ul><li>3, WB has advantage in knowledge sharing and community-driven development programme in national level. </li></ul>
  2. 2. Constraints <ul><li>1, Grassroots CSOs hard to get support from WB, lack of access to WB information, WB lack of engagement with CSOs. </li></ul><ul><li>2, There is no a long term policy and strategy to engage and promote the development of CSOs in China. </li></ul>
  3. 3. Possible concrete actions/next steps <ul><li>1, to make a long term action policy and strategies enhancing WB-CSOs relations in China, to improve the CSOs situation in China. </li></ul><ul><li>2, to develop a series of knowledge development programme for strengthening the capacity builing of CSOs, such as hosting regular WB- China CSOs Emgagement Workshops every year, encourage grassroots NGOs involving in WB’s activities both in country-level and regional level. </li></ul><ul><li>3, to improve the communication channel between WB and CSOs in local level. </li></ul>
