Luke 7:36-5036 Then one of the Pharisees invited Him toeat with him. He entered the Phariseeshouse and reclined at the table.37 And a woman in the town who was asinner found out that Jesus was reclining atthe table in the Pharisees house. Shebrought an alabaster flask of fragrant oil
Luke 7:36-5038 and stood behind Him at His feet,weeping, and began to wash His feet withher tears. She wiped His feet with the hair ofher head, kissing them and anointing themwith the fragrant oil. 39 When the Phariseewho had invited Him saw this, he said tohimself, "This man, if He were a prophet,would know who and what kind of womanthis is who is touching Him—shes a sinner!"
Luke 7:36-5040 Jesus replied to him, "Simon, I havesomething to say to you." "Teacher," hesaid, "say it." 41 "A creditor had two debtors. One owed500 denarii, and the other 50.42 Since they could not pay it back, hegraciously forgave them both. So, which ofthem will love him more?"
Luke 7:36-5043 Simon answered, "I suppose the one heforgave more." "You have judged correctly,"He told him. 44 Turning to the woman, Hesaid to Simon, "Do you see this woman? Ientered your house; you gave Me no waterfor My feet, but she, with her tears, haswashed My feet and wiped them with herhair. 45 You gave Me no kiss, but she hasntstopped kissing My feet since I came in.
Luke 7:36-5046 You didnt anoint My head with oil, but shehas anointed My feet with fragrant oil.47 Therefore I tell you, her many sins havebeen forgiven; thats why she loved much.But the one who is forgiven little, loves little."48 Then He said to her, "Your sins areforgiven."
Luke 7:36-5049 Those who were at the table with Himbegan to say among themselves, "Who isthis man who even forgives sins?"50 And He said to the woman, "Your faithhas saved you. Go in peace."
