  10. 10. “During my path to the NFL I had no idea what to expect and what the dos/don’ts were to preparing for the NFL Combine. I would have given anything to have my own personal mentor to help guide me through the process. One of my main dreams post NFL career was to create an effective, all-inclusive training facility that not only had all the newest science based training technology & philosophies (because I am a health/science nut) but also to have the personal relationship with the athletes to be able to coach them through this whole process. If I could help one athlete successfully make it to the next level and do it with confidence then my dream would be complete. Be that athlete that gets to cash in on this unique experience. Let me take you to the next level & show you all the do’s/don’ts so you don’t have to worry like I did. Come check us out...you won’t regret it!” Kevin Boss Owner at Boss Sports Performance NFL and the NFL shield design are registered trademarks of the National Football League. 1305 Southeast Armour Road, Bend, OR 97702 541-389-BOSS • bosssportsperformance.com

He played in the NFL for over six years. He won Super Bowl XLII with the Giants. He's from Philomath and went to Western Oregon, but he's just this incredible dude. You would never know he was the football star. You would never know he played in the NFL. He's just the most humble, faith-led guy with a great family. He's just been a tremendous mentor and knows everything about this process.” “The facility is a super-cool warehouse with half of a turf field and just an awesome gym. Then everything is right there. The PT, the massage, the acupuncture, everyone comes in and it's just a super-cool environment. The people are so genuine.” “ ” ” “ READ THE ENTIRE STORY

  14. 14. INDIVIDUALIZED PROGRAMS  To truly maximize performance within the short 6-8 week window, it is absolutely critical that each program is tailored specific to the athletes individual needs. That is why we place a great deal of emphasis on the initial screening and evaluation process in order to uncover the athlete’s weak- nesses and dysfunctions. We are not a training facility that gives out one size fits all training program. RELATIONSHIPS & FRIENDSHIPS  At the end of the day life is about relationships and friendships. The older I get the more important that becomes. Another reason that we keep our numbers low is so we get the opportunity to spend quality time with each athlete and get to know each athlete on a personal level. If we don’t get an invite to your wedding years later then we look at that as a failure on our part!! SPORTS MEDICINE & ATHLETIC PERFORMANCE COLLABORATION  With the athletes just coming off of a long football season it’s not a matter of if they have any issues going on it’s a matter of how many different issues/injuries they are currently dealing with or recovering from. This is why having in house Physical Therapy is an absolute must. Our PT’s are some of the best in the business and are here to put you back together when you arrive after the long season and then keep you intact during the grueling weeks to come.“Training dysfunction furthers dysfunc- THE BSP ADVANTAGE tion”…that is why exploiting the athlete’s dysfunctional movement patterns and recognizing where the compensation is taking place early on in our assessment process is vital for the training that lies ahead. PERSONALIZED ATTENTION  Because we understand how import- ant the individualized programming is and in order to give each athlete the attention they need and deserve we will only take on at the most 5 athletes per combine training season. MENTORSHIP  You are getting ready to embark on a very exciting but also very stressful time of your life. Playing in the NFL offers some incredible high’s but also some very low low’s. Everyone is going to try and hitch their wagon to yours during the exciting high’s but unfortunately you will have to find out the hard way who your real friends are when the lows occur. I want to be there for you during those times and help you through them as someone who has been through it as well. I also want to get you thinking a little bit about life after football. Even though it feels like it’s a long way away and we hope that it is 10-15 years from now, football does come to an end for everyone. I am passion- ate about helping young kids find their identity and purpose outside of football so they are ready for when that time comes. SCIENCE BASED & BACKED TRAINING APPROACH  We believe that if you are not using some form of science to make informed decisions with your athletes you are just throwing stuff up against the wall and hoping that it sticks. Whether it’s as simple as a heart rate monitor to help make sure your athletes are utilizing the correct energy system during conditioning or something much more complicated such as the omegawave to track how well your athletes are recovering from session to session. There needs to be some degree of science being relied upon to help drive decision making and you can be certain that BSP is utilizing all the latest and greatest science based tools to make sure our athletes are getting the most out of each and every session! DEVELOPING FOOTBALL PLAYERS  We fully understand that your results at the combine or pro day are going to play a significant role in determin- ing whether or not you get drafted or where you get drafted. And that fact is what drives our programming in a way that can and will guarantee results and improvements in those specific tests. After the combine and draft are over the next big question is what kind of football player are you? Do you truly understand the game? Can you learn an NFL playbook? This is what will ultimately determine whether or not you make it in the NFL and this is why we hire former NFL players that know the game and can teach the intricacies of the game like nobody else can. They will guide, teach and share knowledge to help you make the jump to the profession- al game of football.
