How to add a Satelite Image to ArcGIS GIS in Planning and Public Health
Open ArcMap from the Start menu.
Select “create a new empty map” in ArcMap
Open ArcCatalog the same way you opened ArcMap. Then find “GIS Servers” in the Location bar and select “Add ArcIMS Server”.
Type “http://njgin.state.nj.us” into the “URL of Server” bar. Select “Get List” and choose NJ_AirPhotos_2002_IS. Finish by...
Drag NJ_AirPhotos_2002_IS from ArcCatalog into ArcMap. The Image will appear.
Zoom into specific areas to see them more clearly.
