Boxing day<br />It is celebrated on the follwing day after Christmas day, wich is 26 December.<br />It`s public holliday, this means it is non working day in whole of Britan.<br />Traditionally , 26 december was the day to open the Christmas Box to share the contents with the poor.<br />Boxing Day is celebrated in Australia, Britain, New Zealand, and Canada.<br />

History on Boxing day<br />Christmas boxes where used different ways:<br />To protect ships-when grate sailing ships were setting off to discover new land, a Christmas box where used as a good luck device.<br />To help the poor-the alms box was placed in every church on Christmas day, into witch worshippers placed a gift for the poor of the parish and it was open afther the Christmas day, witch is way that day become know as Boxing day.<br />

History on Boxing day<br />A present for the workers-Many poorly paid workers were required to work on Christmas day , witch is why that day became know as Boxing day.<br />And the tradition still continues today.......<br />Schools across the country gather together gifts to be put on Christmas boxes that are sent to poorer countries.<br />
  5. 5. Boxing Day Hunts<br />Traditionally Boxing day is for a fox hunt. Horse riders dresses in red and white riding gear and the dogs are with them.<br />Eventually the hunters hope the fox will be so tired that the dogs will be able to catch it and kill it.<br />In November 2004, MP-s voted to ban hunting with dogs in Ingland and Wales.As from 18 February 2005 hunting with dogs became a criminal offance.<br />
  6. 6. Family Time<br />Traditionally, Boxing day is the day when families get together. It is a day sports and playing board games with the family.<br />Many families will go on walks in the countryside together on boxing day.<br />
