Capspot presentation

 1. 1. CapSpot
put your eyes to the capital test
Vlad Manea, Sebastian Codrin Ditu
Faculty of Computer Science, A. I. Cuza University
16 General Berthelot St., Iasi, Romania
{vlad.manea, sebastian.ditu}@info.uaic.ro
2. 2. A possible client for our service
The client (C) issues a GET / request to the server (S) that yields to a HTML response. C issues a GET /quiz request. User (U) is then asked to type the name of the city he/she thinks the photos are taken from. The map updates to show the typed location. C issues a POST /check request with the coordinates taken from the map. S answers with the correct city and the client updates the map accordingly. U now sees the right location.
3. 3. Server class diagram
The MVC pattern can be spotted in the Controller and Model derived classes. The app is split into general to specific providers for Picasa and Geonames.
For demo reliability we saved copies of responses in local providers.
4. 4. GET /quiz and POST /check sequence diagram
This diagram shows the GET /quiz flow in the upper part.
The lower part shows the POST /check functionality.
Note that the Cache is used to link the two.
5. 5. ThankYou
wishes to visit all these cities in person
Vlad Manea, Sebastian Codrin Dițu
Faculty of Computer Science, A. I. Cuza University
16 General Berthelot St., Iasi, Romania
{vlad.manea, sebastian.ditu}@info.uaic.ro
