Our firm has the skills and experience needed by health care delivery systems to succeed in today’s dynamic health care environment. We begin our projects by analyzing our clients’ organization, policies, processes and systems. We then focus on providing an action plan tailored to your specific issues that will transform what is not working in the existing organization into new or improved organizational structures, policies, processes and systems. We take on the role of partner and work closely with management and staff to assess, design, and implement changes and programs that fit well within our client’s environment and maximize the quality of patient care services. Consultants A2M Resources consultants bring with them years of management experience in both academic faculty practice plans and multi-specialty group practices. The primary emphasis of our consulting services is to provide clients with consultants that bring with them a rich background and skill set that can be directly applied through proven methods of developing and implementing policies, processes and programs to achieve and sustain success. Victor J. Arnold – Managing Partner. Mr. Arnold has been active in the healthcare market sector in the United States since 1984. He has been employed by both private (Stanford University, Stanford Health Services, Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine) and public (Kansas University) health systems and faculty practice plans. In addition, Mr. Arnold has been employed in government healthcare programs (Missouri Department of Social Services) and private industry healthcare information technology and services companies (IDX Systems, GE Healthcare). Mr. Arnold has held positions as a Principal and Senior Managing Director for Vogt Management Consulting, Inc. and GE/IDX and as Senior Manager of Operations for physician practice outsourcing services at GE. Mr. Arnold has been involved with assisting health systems with Faculty Practice Plan, individual department and full system operations improvements. He has expertise in affiliation agreements between SOM and their Hospital partners including funds flow, billing/patient accounting operations and clinical faculty compensation models. He also has extensive knowledge of integrated health system and faculty practice plan technology requirements and infrastructure. Finally, he has extensive knowledge of organization assessment, operations improvement and restructuring strategies and tactics. Mr. Arnold received his Bachelor of Arts from Drury University in 1978. He subsequently received a Masters of Public Administration from the University of Missouri in 1982. He also had additional training at Stanford University from the Stanford Graduate School of Business (non-degree). 3
  4. 4. Timothy Ogonoski – Partner. Mr. Ogonoski has twenty years of experience in large scale hospital, clinical practices, school of medicine operations, finance, facility and clinical practice planning and information technology use and support. Mr. Ogonoski was employed at BJC Healthcare, Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis as the Executive Director of the Faculty Practice Plan, and GE Healthcare where he was Vice President of Finance and Operations for the Business Services Group. During that period, Mr. Ogonoski has also developed multiple green field multi-specialty clinics and new clinical and research buildings. Mr. Ogonoski also was employed by a large aeronautics and engineering corporation, McDonnell-Douglas/Boeing. Mr. Ogonoski was responsible for strategic planning, partnership development, capital planning, operational funds flow, productivity improvement, facility leasing and operations, and compensation planning. Mr. Ogonoski holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering with a minor in mathematics as well as an MBA with an emphasis in finance from Southern Illinois University. Mr. Ogonoski has international business experience in his roles at Boeing and at GE Healthcare. Bill Vogt, Principal has over thirty years of academic medical center, faculty practice plan and health care management consulting experience. Mr. Vogt’s former firm, Vogt Management Consulting (VMC), provided management consulting expertise to most the major academic medical centers in the United States. VMC also provided assistance to non-academic medical groups of all sizes. As a Senior Vice President at IDX, Mr. Vogt headed their consulting services unit. For A2M Resources, Mr. Vogt provides the expertise of a highly-skilled professional who has held Executive Director positions within a number of faculty practice plan organizations over a 20 year period, including: University of Washington (Seattle); Medical College of Wisconsin; and the University of Colorado. Over the past ten years, he has been the project director on consulting projects related to faculty practice plan reviews, clinic, business office and managed care business operations reengineering, outsourcing arrangements and associated use of information systems to faculty practice plans, hospital based clinics, academic medical centers, hospitals, PHO’s, MSO’s and multi-specialty group practices. 4

Example Engagements We Have Successfully Completed Organization Type: Academic Medical Center & Practice Plan Service Provided: Operations Assessment West coast based academic medical center was in financial trouble and needed assistance on many different areas to restructure their practice plan, physician compensation and productivity models and to improve their revenue cycle operations including billing and collections and clinic/practice operations. A2M consultants provided assessment of operations identifying significant issues with revenue cycle operations, physician productivity and compensation. Assessment included roadmap for client to begin turn around operations and administrative processes. A2M served as management advisors and implementation staff to ensure sustainable change in the organization culture occurred to support the needed improvements in their structure and operations. Organization Type: Academic Medical Center Service Provided: Affiliation Agreement Large southeastern academic medical center and practice plan needed help restructuring the finances and contractual relationships underpinning their new Cancer Institute. A2M partners worked with Hospital and Practice Plan management to identify issues and opportunities that would address current problems. A2M recommended an affiliation structure that would properly compensate faculty while preserving their academic mission. A2M also provided recommendations on how to structure funding for operations to remain viable. Organization Type: Administrative Service Organization Service Provided: Merger & Acquisition Due Diligence Large west coast based administrative service organization (ASO) providing finance, billing, IT, EMR and managed care administrative services was in the process of contemplating expansion that would double its already $1 billion dollar size (as measure in managed accounts receivable). A2M assisted the client with developing a transition strategy, addressing financial, human resources, staffing, operations and client service plans to expand and successfully manage the operations and transition issues attendant to growth of that magnitude. 5

Organization Type: Administrative Service Organization Service Provided: EMR Expansion Technical Investment Review Large west coast based administrative service organization needed to expand its EMR technology and service model to determine best investment strategy to offer EMR technology to small practices critical to the ongoing success of the corporate managing entity. Developed options and recommended best fit alternative to initiate the service with the appropriate level of investment. Organization Type: Billing Outsourcing Provider Service Provided: Contract Transition Management Midwestern outsourcing provider needed transition assistance after landing a contract with a large east coast based, academic medical center. Service included management of transition project and liaison services with the client’s customer, development and oversight of transition management plan, review and implementation of billing targets and related transition services. Services also included providing client with internal management services around development of more effective transition and deployment strategies and tactics. 6
