  1. 1. THE POWER OF WORDS<br />Words are the vehicle through which we communicate our thoughts, the tongue is the driver. As such it takes us to our destiny.<br />

  3. 3. The lying tongue<br />Proverbs 12:22<br />‘The Lord detests lying lips, but He delights in men who are truthful’<br />Everything we do must be based on truth. Lies make for a shaky foundation in any relationship. Lies come in the form of :<br />deceitfulness, half truths, exaggerations and flattery.<br />
  4. 4. There is a time for everything<br /><ul><li>It is a fact that most problems in life especially those that stem from our interaction with others will not be resolved unless they are confronted.
  5. 5. However, there is a time and a way to say everything:</li></ul> ‘The Lord GOD has given Me The tongue of the learned, That I should know how to speak A word in season to him who is weary’ Isaiah 50:4<br />
  6. 6. Deceitfulness<br />Why do we do it?<br />For financial gain<br />For social advantage<br />To hide immoral acts<br />To obtain some form of benefit or the other<br />1Peter 3:10<br />Genesis 27<br />

  8. 8. Half truths<br />The word integrity is derived from the mathematical term integer. An integer is a mathematical term meaning whole number as opposed to a fraction.<br />When we walk in integrity, we tell the whole truth and not just a fraction of it.<br />
  9. 9. exaggerating<br />
  10. 10. Think it, believe it, speak it.<br />My mouth speaks what is true, for my lips detest wickedness. All the words of my mouth are just, none of them is crooked or perverse.<br />This is your fasting meditation for this week<br />
