  17. 17. The Events Calendar reference material From Cynthia Lockley, Washington DC – Baltimore chapter web diva • The Events Calendar is a suite of plugins. The main plugin, The Events Calendar, is free but you need to pay for the add-on plugins that integrate with it and really make it work. We pay for the Events Calendar Pro plugin and The Events Calendar Eventbrite Tickets ($89 each but worth it). • General information about it is at https://theeventscalendar.com/ • The Events Calendar Pro plugin (https://theeventscalendar.com/product/wordpress-events- calendar-pro/) provides recurring events; premium support (the support forum is very helpful and answered by development support as well as user experts); week, map, and photo views of scheduled events; venue and organizer pages; default content; custom event attributes, etc. • The Events Calendar Eventbrite Tickets plugin (https://theeventscalendar.com/product/wordpress-eventbrite-tickets/) lets you import your Eventbrite events. Eventbrite recently locked down their API to only allow PayPal and Google payments. • There are other plugins you can buy for Community Events; Community Tickets; a different Tickets plugin that works with WooCommerce, Shopp, Easy Digital Downloads, and WP- Ecommerce; plus several more specialized plugins. See https://theeventscalendar.com/products/ for all their plugins. | Using Eventbrite | 04/13/2016 | @technicallyt @viqui_dill @stccac | #STCorg | slide 17 | << jump back to slide show
