It isone of eighteen boards of the AmericanOsteopathic Association (AOA) that are dedicatedexclusively to medical certification. Comprised ofover 100,000 osteopathic physicians andosteopathic medical students, AOA is the primarycertifying body within the United Statesosteopathic industry. In addition to endorsingindividual Doctors of Osteopathy like VinsonDiSanto, the American Osteopathic Associationalso has the federal authority to accreditosteopathic medical schools, hospitals, and otherhealthcare facilities.
