  • The traditional importance of textiles is reflected in Barcelona's drive to become a major fashion centre. Barcelona had the  Bread & Butter  urban fashion fair until 2009, but it was returned to Berlin. This was a hard blow for the city . At the moment ,   The Brandery , and 080 are held in Barcelona twice a year. Barcelona aspires to become an important   fashion capital  in the world.
  • Zara   is a clothing and accessories retailer founded in 1975 by  Amancio Ortega  and  Rosalía Mera . It belongs to the   Inditex  group; the fashion group also owns brands such as  Massimo Dutti ,  Pull and Bear ,  Uterqüe ,  Stradivarius  and  Bershka . Zara needs just two weeks [  to develop a new product. Zara launches around 10,000 new designs each year. This has increased the idea of Zara as a "fashion imitator" company and low cost products. " Zara has also been described as a "Spanish success story" by  CNN
  • Today it is present in all these countries and it monopolozies fashion in our country, no matter if you are a teenager, an adult female or an old lady.. Zara always has a suggestion for you and the prices are very competitive... WE ALL DRESS AND SMELL LIKE ZARA!!!
  • Their most important competitor is Mango . Mango has over 8,600 employees. Despite being a Spanish clothing company, the city of  Istanbul , Turkey, is the one with the largest amount of Mango stores. [3] Since fall 2011, Kate Moss was Mango's muse. Desigual   is a casual clothing brand based in Barcelona, which is famous for its patchwork designs, intense prints, innovative graffiti art . Founded in 1984 by Thomas Meyer, from Switzerland.  Desigual sells men's, women's, children's clothing, accessories and women's shoes. In 2011 it employed 3,000 people of 72 nationalities.
  • Custo Dalmau (born in  Lérida, 1959) is a Spanish fashion designer. In 1980 he founded the label Custo Line with his brother David . Custo Barcelona has been very successful with celebs in Hollywood, his fashion styles have been present in several films. He always takes part in the New York fashion show.
  • In Barcelona, teenagers usually wear colourful shorts with funny T-shirts and vans. This is the biggest trend.... One of the most popular t-shirts in teenagers is “Lady 23” they also wear t-shirts about music bands like Guns’n’roses, Nirvana, Los Ramones. Another popular clothes are basket and baseball t-shirts. The boys wear very baggy and wide trousers.
  • Leggins is also a must, with stripes or patchy and colourful and big boots like these two famous brands. Girls also wear vaporous dresses and most girls like long long hair. They wear a lot of type of shoes, the most popular are; Vans, Andy-z, Nike Air Force, Airmax and adidas.
  • Teenagers usually combine their clothes with hats of brands like; Obey, DC, Vans, Yankees, LA... They also in winter, wear woollen hats.
  • In Spain there is no national costume, every region has its own costume, on the right you can see some costumes , the Valencian, the “baturros” in Aragon, the vasc country regional costume, and onthe right, you can see the Catalan national costume and the most famous around the world, the andalusian, the flamenco dress costume, “la bata de cola”.
