What is Media Academy3 about?
Interested in working within Creative Industries? 3 Schools - 3
opportunities to work with professional clients on live briefs to provide a
comprehensive service for any promotional and informational products
for small, local businesses and the community.
Within the Journalism school there exists the opportunity to collaborate with all aspects of the Media
Industry. You can get involved with investigating the latest news from the College and the surrounding
community, supporting and marketing local companies to the region, as well as offering a constant
stream of updates about what’s happening with Media Academy3 and their clients through our News
website and the popular social networking sites, Facebook and Twitter. Not only do you work with
consumers, we offer a chance to entertain people on the radio waves on our very own Radio
Station, Media Academy3, on the Spreaker site, using professional equipment and bringing the
audience a taste of what has happened within the week.
This school provides all the skills and experience you need to succeed in a proficient working
filming environment, whilst providing a service to the community, communicating closely with
customers to create multimedia products such as documentaries, viral adverts, multi-camera
productions for live events and so much more.
The Design Department looks towards the inventive side of the Academy. They
provide a graphics service that explores the creation of logos, posters or anything that
they are asked to envision from their clientele. This involves using a mixture of both
hands-on methods and the latest software available, to produce an original and
imaginative yet skilled pieces of artistic work that would be used for local enterprises.
