Why is it in the top 16? <ul><li>Hurricane Katrina was the first natural disaster which hit the United States in the age of the “Net”. </li></ul><ul><li>Before people could not easily get information about situations this important unless they waited for the 6 pm news of the newspaper the next day. </li></ul><ul><li>It was instant. People got information the moment it happened. </li></ul>
