NEAR FIELD COMMUCATION (NFC) • NFC (near field communication) is a wireless technology which allows for the transfer of data such as text or numbers, many more information between two NFC enabled devices or between NFC tags and smart phones . • NFC is based on Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) Technology. • Devices communicates through tags.
  2. 2. WHAT CAN WE DO WITH NFC JUST TAP TO: • Share a file • Share contacts • Pay bills • Start Wi-Fi • Use as coupons • Use as a room key • Pair Bluetooth
  3. 3. ADVANTAGES  NFC over Bluetooth  No special software  No manual configuration and settings  Secure Communication  No search & pair procedure
  4. 4. DISADVANTAGES  System operated only with devices under a short range i.e. around 10 cm.  Data transfer rate is very less at about 106 kbps, 212 kbps & 424 kbps.
