The Walking Dead´s Walkers have changed for worse
every season, which is logical as they have been getting
older and therefore more smelly and decaying.The
producer Greg Nicotero commented on this in his
interview for The Hollywood: „We have started now
changing some of the Walkers digitally, which has not
been done in any of the previous seasons. They have
been changed in sort of style of Bernie Wrightson. We
are taking some flesh from bellow the chest and nose
area and leaving there cavities instead. These changes
give us more space for future changes and it´s all quite
exciting.“

•Nicotero then adds: „We have been changing the
walkers every season, each time we are pushing their
look a bit further. We keep changing their teeth,
taking away some of the muscles from arms and
adding sagging flesh which looks like it´s about to
fall off and so on. The showrunner however has one
rule about them which is that they cannot look like
walking skeletons, the walkers always need to have
flesh and muscles, something that keeps them
moving.“ We will see on 11th October what they
have come up with this season.
