Airport Travel Tips
When traveling, especially if it’s out of the country the one place you usually get annoyed is the airport.
From long lines, to baggage inspection to flight waiting, there are tons of problems an airport could bring
to a traveler to make their trip a more irritating one. But, to avoid ruining your trip we have made a
checklist on what to do, wear and bring if you are expecting to go into an airport.
What to do?
Be early at the airport – early bird always
gets the worm. There are instances that
the flight is cancelled or delayed and if you
are early you can make necessary changes
to make it to your destination.
Stay calm and focused – should there be
any issues on your flight or documents
always remember to remain calm and
focused. This way you could find a way or
handle any situation in a calmly manner.
Watch your suitcase – Always watch your
suitcase, because switching suitcase is
rampant in some airports. You don’t want
to lose any important things inside your
suitcase do you?!
Travel light – to fully enjoy your travel,
always travel light. This way you can go wherever you want without thinking about the things that you left
in your hotel or vacation rental.
Avoid changing money at the airports – As stated by one forex agency operator, you might lose 2-5% of
your money due to the unfair exchange rates done by money changers in the airport.
Don’t flash large amount of money in public – If you want to be the eye candy of thieves and other
criminal identities then flash a large amount of money in the airport. So for your own safety, please do
keep your hard earned cash to yourself and don’t flash it around.
What to wear
 Wear something comfortable – due to the large amount of crowd in the airport, you don’t want
to be bathe in your own sweat right?!
 Don’t display affluence – wearing something luxurious is the same as flashing your money in the
public or wearing a giant nametag that says “hey look at me I’m very rich”
 Avoid layers, belts and underwire bra – this is to hasten the inspection done to you.
 Don’t wear fussy or tough to remove shoes – this is pretty self-explanatory not to mention that
tough to remove shoes are not the comfortable.
 Don’t wear expensive jewelries – As mentioned above, wearing flashy wardrobe and accessories
will attract trouble and jeopardize you and your family’s safety.
What to bring
- Passport Visa
- Government issued ID
- Just enough cash
- Mobile phones, universal charger and extra batteries
- Don’t bring anything you want to lose (such as unnecessary credit cards, duplicate stuff such
as keys and valuable documents not needed in your travel)
