  2. 2. Digital marketing is marketing that makes use of electronic devices such as computers, tablets, smartphones, cellphones, digital billboards, and game consoles to engage with consumers and other business partners. Internet Marketing is a major component of digital marketing.

Campaigns can be easily adjusted/scaled up or down..   4. 4. Coke Zone in Digital marketing There were more than 25 million video views in total across desktop and mobile. 1,220 people subscribed to the channel. Coke was the second most talked about brand during the Games. It achieved 242 million social web impressions, 39 million impressions on Facebook and 546,000 impressions on YouTube and Beat TV. Move To The Beat was mentioned 246,000 times on Facebook. Coca-Cola attracted an additional 1.5 million Facebook fans and 21,000 Twitter followers. The campaign achieved 245 million search impressions, 461,000 clicks and a CTR of 0.2%.
  6. 6. We started by identifying an online social network with extensive public information about its members’ life goals. Using Hit wise, we validated the network’s demographics to ensure its audience was within MasterCard’s target. Then, we used the search data to develop an experiential strategy that would dig deep into how people think and behave online. By listening to the audience in both the targeted social network and search query frequency, we discovered strong travel interest in the “Wonders of the World.” Since the Wonders of the World has multiple derivatives – including the ancient world, modern world and natural world – the concept lent itself to many interpretations and opportunities for relevant content. Advantages of using social media Social media marketing has many advantages: Broad reach - social media can reach millions of people all around the world ability to target particular groups - many forms of social media (e.g. Facebook, Foursquare) allow businesses to target specific groups, often in particular locations free or low-cost - many forms of social media are free for business, and paid options are usually low-cost personal - social media allow you to communicate on a personal basis with individual customers and groups fast – you can quickly distribute information to many people easy - you don't need high-level skills or computer equipment to participate in social media. The average person with a standard computer should have no difficulty.
