What is a living lab? •Initially created at the MIT to name houses with sensors and actuators where people would live in •Europeans adapted the concept for Open Innovation •Living lab in Europe means co-creating innovations with multiple stakeholders and running experiments “in the wild” •It is alive because it is made out of people
