Nokia NetAct Traffica allows operators to view network performance from their customers’ point of view. This versatile tool provides a detailed, real-time picture of end-user activity and service usage throughout the network. Nokia NetAct Traffica uses well-established technology and is already delivering valuable service information to more than 80 customers in over 40 countries around the world. It is part of the Nokia Siemens Networks network management solution, that will offer a unified, pre-integrated management system for all network technologies we support. Turning data into information Nokia NetAct Traffica helps operators understand how their services are performing by focusing on live traffic and subscriber activity. It presents real-time visibility of end-user activity over the whole network as an overview, at the cell level or even at the level of individual subscribers. By providing a powerful engine for subscriber event data analysis, Nokia NetAct Traffica can be used to deliver complete solutions to a whole host of operator-specific requirements, such as troubleshooting, customer care, subscriber profiling and GPRS autoprovisioning. Nokia NetAct Traffica essentially shows the operator the network’s ability to deliver traffic. It collects and stores real-time traffic data from sources throughout the network and presents it in standard or user-defined graphical formats. Once a problem is detected, clear codes and error messages enable operators to tell exactly what type of problem a customer is experiencing. In addition, Nokia NetAct Traffica gives operators the ability to carry out comprehensive troubleshooting by monitoring every single call and session attempt in the network. Nokia NetAct Traffica can be used at all levels of an operator’s organization, thanks to dynamic, multi-purpose clients such as Traffic News and Traffic Views. Traffic analysis provides flexible solutions to operator challenges Nokia NetAct Traffica provides operators with a total solution that uses real-time traffic analysis to support their specific business needs. First, the Nokia NetAct Traffica platform gathers data from multiple data sources, such as network element interfaces, CDRs or probes in signaling links. The platform brings all this information together to enable operators to analyze subscriber events across all the technologies in the network. Working on top of this platform, multi-purpose Nokia NetAct Traffica applications provide flexible support for a wide range of operator requirements. Various modules complete the picture by building a solution tailored to support the specific needs of the operator in each case. Operators can anticipate potential service quality degradations and quickly establish their root cause, whether in the network, service platform or user device.
