FLOW OF CASE <ul><li>Mr. Subhodh has promoted to manager of Engineering Department after working </li></ul><ul><li>5 years as a engineer in a leading manufacturing company. </li></ul><ul><li>He was excellent as design engineer and developed three new products. </li></ul><ul><li>He update his knowledge as per external evironment change. </li></ul>

Cont….. <ul><li>Fortnightly vice president called a meeting </li></ul><ul><li>With Mr. Subodh to provide full prove plans for the big export order of a product design by him. </li></ul><ul><li>At a meeting Mr. Subodh was Feel hesitate in presenting the plan. </li></ul><ul><li>Mr. Subodh was coordinating with eng. Department since last 15 years but, as a manager he feels himself in presure and works for 12hrs a day. </li></ul>

  5. 5. ALTERNATIVE SOLUTIONS OF THE CASE 1: Basic problem confronted by Subodh . Justification:- Mr. Subodh having Technical Knowledge not mangerial competance skills. 2: Is Manager or Engineer are Different ? Justification:- Yes, Engineering involves Technology and hence, required knowledge of science but management required integration of science as well as art.
  6. 6. Contd..….. <ul><li>3: Is management make the mistake in promoting Mr. Subodh ? </li></ul><ul><li>Justification :- Yes, Management has mistaken because He is an electrical engineer and doesn’t having any management skills so that he was unable to present the full proof plan. </li></ul>
  7. 7. Contd…… <ul><li>4. How the performance of Mr. Subodh improved ? </li></ul><ul><li>Justification :- Conducting the training programme is required to improve his performance as leader and manager. </li></ul>

CONCLUSION For Instance, .We conclude that Mr. Subhodh is anQualitative and effective engineer as he worked as design Engineer Since last 5 years and achieved good knowledge about technical and Engineering experience by updating himself through Conference and workshops. He was Widely recognized as innovative contributor for the company. Hence, We Can say that he Should promoted to senior engineer and take proper utilization in research and development For industrial leadership to the Fruitful business.
