  4. 4. What is Ozone? Ozone Layer? <ul><li>Ozone (O3) is a highly reactive gas composed of three oxygen atoms. Depending on where it is in the atmosphere, ozone affects life on Earth in either good or bad ways. </li></ul><ul><li>The ozone layer is a layer in Earth's atmosphere  which contains relatively high concentrations of ozone  (O3) </li></ul>1839 by German scientist Sir C. Friedrich Schonbein.
