What Kind of freedom is Granted? Islam strictly forbids that people be forcedto adopt a certain creed, or to believe in aparticular religion. At a time when people were enslavedintellectually, politically, socially, religiously,and economically, Islam came to establishall range of freedoms

What Kind of freedom is Granted? Freedom of belief,"If it had been thy Lords Will, they would all havebelieved, all who are on earth wilt thou thencompel mankind, against their will, to believe?" Freedom of thought,"Let there be no compulsion in religion: truthstands out clear from error."
  5. 5. What Kind of freedom is Granted? Freedom of speech. Freedom to criticize.“And consult them in affairs of the moment.”
  6. 6. How Did it Develop? This Islamic principle of freedom did not come as a result of some sort ofdevelopment in the society or an evolution that requested it,It was revealed for the good of peopleand to elevate them on earth.
  7. 7. Is There a Limitation? Freedom of expression does not meanfreedom of insult, defamation and slander. Freedom of expression is guaranteed onthe condition that: religion should not be toyed with, peoples honor and dignity should not betransgressed upon.
