2. Carlo Principe
Talent Acquisition Manager – Executive Recruitment
Carlo joined Grant Thornton in 2012 and
comes with extensive experience in executive
search and recruitment across a variety of genres
including oil & gas, engineering, mining, FMCG
and financial services. For the past ten years,
Carlo has been sourcing senior level managers
for local, national and multinational companies
across Australia, Africa and South East Asia.
After graduating from university Carlo worked
in Education & Adult Facilitation before
completing his postgraduate studies in Human
Resources. Carlo then went onto work with
various finance companies in Australia such as
GE Capital and Dun & Bradstreet, overseeing
their major clients such as Telstra and Royal
Bank of Scotland.
Experience
• Carlo was initially approached to work for
Hudson Executive Recruitment both in
Perth and then Melbourne to recruit in the
financial services space. He then moved
onto senior management roles within the
manufacturing and FMCG space with
clients such as Fonterra, Henkel and Coles
Group, Australia’s largest supermarket
chain. Carlo was successful in sourcing
senior management in finance, supply chain
and general operations management.
• Carlo then returned to Perth, Australia,
where he commenced working for Talent2
(end-to-end management solutions) and created
their commercial and technical division,
sourcing management for various national and
multinational resources companies in Australia.
Some of his key clients include Worley Parsons,
Clough, Chevron and Woodside Petroleum.
Carlo was then approached by Downing Teal
Executive Search to continue working in the
mining and resources space and for the past
three years has continued to source C-Suite
executives for multinational organisations in
Australia, Africa and South East Asia. He has
been successful in running recruitment
campaigns for organisations in Australia
bringing in skills from South East Asia as well as
Australians willing to work overseas.
