  2. 3. <ul><li>The purpose: </li></ul><ul><li>This study investigated the gap that exists between the technological knowledge and skills preservice teachers possess and their confidence in using them to successfully integrate technology in their classrooms. </li></ul>
  3. 4. <ul><li>Participants </li></ul><ul><li>Twenty-six preservice teachers seeking certification in the elementary education program participated in this study. </li></ul>
  4. 5. <ul><li>Instrumentation: </li></ul><ul><li>Two surveys were developed for this study. </li></ul><ul><li>Survey one , self-reported Technological Proficiency and Confidence Level for classroom integration (TPCL). </li></ul><ul><li>- Part A (34 questions) measures the technology proficiency level of the preservice teachers. </li></ul><ul><li>- Part B (7 questions) measures how confident the preservice teachers believed they were in successfully integrating specific technology practices into classroom instructional methods. </li></ul>
