Here the spots are formed by floating the ordinary weft or warp threads on the surface of the cloth. Normally we choose a ground weave on which spot figure is produced. How to draw spot figures Let us draw spot figures on a repeat size of 12 ends and 12 picks. We take ground weave as plain weave and let the spot be of the size 3x3: Step 1: Decide the distribution of the spot. Let the spot is distributed as 4-end satin weave. Thus if we represent spot as S, it would come as: And the distribution weave would be: Step 2: Now draw a grid representing 12 ends and 12 picks and represent the position of spots in blocks of 3x3.
