Lynn and 1986 Taiwan Democratic Party • In 1985 Lynn and his wife Sachiko worked for two weeks with the hunger strike of Linda and the “California gang” in Washington D.C. • Out of this developed the “Return the Taiwan Democratic Party to Taiwan” movement, with Hsu Hsin-liang and Hsieh Tsung-min leading – Taoyuan airport, November 30, 1986, Lynn lay on tarmac but was carried back to plane…
  5. 5. Lynn worked for the DPP • Lynn was finally allowed to return to Taiwan in 1996, at the invitation of the DPP. He worked in the foreign relations department for nearly two years. • Lynn also worked for Lu Hsiu-lien in the Presidential Office in about 2004, in preparation for the Democratic Pacific Union. However, he was not happy with the emphasis on current power holders.
