WHAT ARE RADIO WAVES?Radio waves are a form of electromagnetic radiation. that varies inwavelength from around a millimeter to 100,000 km, and has one ofthe widest ranges in the electromagnetic spectrum. like all otherelectromagnetic waves, they travel at the speed of light. Radio wavescan occur both Naturally and man made.

MOBILE PHONESMobile phones use radio waves in order to transmit information, such as phone calls and SMS messagesas well as using mobile internetfrequency range: 824.040 - 848.970 MHz.Mobile phones also use Wi-Fi technology and Bluetooth.Bluetooth is a proprietary wireless technology for creating personal area networks used to share databetween two devices over short distances usually under 10ft. (using short wavelength radio transmissionsin the ISM band from 2400-2480 MHz)
WIFI Transmit at frequencies of 2.4 GHz or 5 Ghz which is higher than the frequencies used otherwireless technologies like mobile phones, walkie-talkies and televisions this is so the waves can carrymore data. Wi-fi uses antennas around which wi-fi "hotspots" are created. The hotspots are outlets equipped toreceive the radio waves that power wireless networking. Until recently, wi-fi has been confined to morethan 10,000 hot-spots in cafes, bars and airport lounges. But various projects are under way to set upcity-wide zones, Mobile phones have wi-fi chips installed. This means conventional networks can be bypassed andinexpensive long-distance calls made over the Voip (voice over ip)
MRIMRI stands for magnetic resonance imaging scan is a radiology technique that uses magnetism, radiowaves, and a computer to produce in depth images of the bodys internal structures.When the nuclei of hydrogen atoms/-single protons are caught suddenly in a strong magnetic field, theytend to line up. If the protons are then hit with a short, precisely tuned burst of radio waves, they willmomentarily flip around. Then, in the process of returning to their original orientation, they resoundwith a brief radio signal of their own. Which is then processed by a computer to create the detailedimages.
CONCLUSIONRadio waves are becoming used more and more in modern technology with improvements continuallybeing made in all aspects of radio communications and technology and I do see the technology beingused for the for seeable future. However I do think that this will evolve into other areas of the magneticspectrum making radio waves redundant. For example digital signals overtaking broadcasting with bothtv and radio, and with the implementation of technology of things like witricity ( electricity through theair using magnetic waves), I do believe the future dose rest upon the adaptation of other forms of theelectromagnetic spectrum. Whether or not radio waves will be around forever is still to be seen howeverfor the for seeable future they will be a commonplace feature in our society
