I served six years of service as a Safety Equipment Fitter, attached to the RAF regiment
serving my time in Ascension Island, Cyprus and various RAF camps around the UK.
Promoted to Senior Aircraftsmen within these years, left with an
exemplary record, then completed a further 3 years on the reserve list.

Employed originally as a roustabout on the rig 135, semi-submersible, progressed my
way to Assistant Driller, having worked on platforms, jack-up and mainly semi-
submersibles.
Transocean (July 03 – Jan 04 Temp position - Agency)
Employed as an Assistant Driller/Driller on Trident 6 – Jack-up. This position was in
Nigeria, Africa, working a 28-28 schedule.
Fastflow pipeline services (Jan 04-Apl 04)
Employed by this company to find and repair burst or fractured water mains around the
country. Learned a lot about underlying cables how to detect them, how to identify
them i.e., gas, electric, cable television etc. Worked anywhere from housing estates,
roadsides to farmers fields, a job where you needed to be trusted with the equipment
you where using and using it on.
Intersevices Offshore Agency (Apr04-Nov 04)
Working on the Captain platform as an AD employed through Noble drilling,
participating in a series of projects from drilling of new wells to workovers. All crews on
the platform are actively taking part in their safety culture, which I fully and
wholeheartedly agree and participate in.
Noble Drilling (Nov 04-Nov 06)
Employed by Noble Drilling as an AD and promoted to Driller In December 04 on the
Captain WWPA working on abandonment’s, workovers and re-drills for Chevron
Texaco.

Internal transfer to Thailand on the Charlie Graves, a self erecting tender barge, batch
drilling for Chevron Thailand, promoted to Toolpusher in Sept 08, transferred to Glen
Affric in Indonesia June 10 (formally global Jade). Transferred to Glen Esk, Ivory
Coast, in March 2013 as Rig Superintendent, then mobilized on the Glen Affric, a self-
erecting Tender in Myanmar, drilling for PTTEP in early October when Esk finished
contract. At Present working in Angola on the Ben Rinnes, a Jack-up, also for KCAD,
in the role of Rig Superintendent.
Work Experience
I have gained extensive knowledge and experience through the courses taken
throughout my career. I have been a Toolpusher/Rig Super for over 7 years, a Driller
for 5 years, and an assistant driller for 6 years previous to this. Having worked in
Trinidad drilling for British Gas, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Ivory Coast, Africa and
now MYANMAR (Burma).
I have drilled or been involved with wells from 7000 ft to 28000 ft, mostly directional,
have done HP/HT in the past. Ran numerous sizes of casing from 30’ conductor to 5.5
sand screens. Ran and pulled completion strings on platforms and semi-submersibles,
also been involved with the testing process of many wells.
I have operated various Varco’s, TDS and IDS with
or without compensators, also the maritime DDM and Canrig TDS. I am also
compliant with the Varco E.D.S drilling system, and pipe handling equipment. Training
on the DART simulator also completed in KCAD offices.
