  5. 5. Do Not Use Moving Text <ul><li>Moving text can be very distracting </li></ul><ul><li>Having moving text takes away from the presenter and some of the message could be lost. </li></ul>
  6. 6. Know Your Presentation <ul><li>Know the content of your presentation this makes it flow and you are not just reading your slides </li></ul><ul><li>Know the order your slides are in so that you can jump between them quickly </li></ul>
  7. 7. Turn Off The Pointer <ul><li>Having the pointer on the screen during the presentation because it can cause the attention to shift from the presenter </li></ul>
  8. 8. Print Handout <ul><li>Create a printout of the slide show with the notes field. This allows the attendees to follow easier and be able to make notes on each of the slides. </li></ul>
  9. 9. PowerPoint In The Classroom <ul><li>Better used in grades 7 th to 12 th </li></ul><ul><li>Use as an outline to lesson plans </li></ul><ul><li>Have students create presentations as a way to practice public speaking </li></ul>
