As Development Director, I tried to raise $70,000 in the last six months of a million dollar campaign. I wrote two letters to lapsed donors in an effort to retain their dollars once again. This letter featured a second testimonial from the organization's work and is personalized with details of the donor's previous givings. Both letters combined helped draw in 10% of the lapsed list.
