  2. 2. Using YouTube in the Classroom  Do not stream YouTube videos directly from YouTube in the classroom. This could result in inappropriate content and ads being displayed.  YouTube videos should be previewed and downloaded by teachers before class begins.  YouTube Downloader allows users to download appropriate educational YouTube Videos very easily.
  3. 3.  Go to the following website, download and install YouTube Downloader.  http://download.cnet.com/YouTube-Downloader/3000-2071_4-10647340.html
  4. 4. After downloading and installing the YouTube Downloader icon will be located on your desktop. Double click to open.
  5. 5.  Locate the YouTube video that you would like to use in your classroom.  Highlight and copy the URL (website address) of the video that you would like to download.
  6. 6. Paste the URL into YouTube Downloader. Click OK
  7. 7. Click Save Choose a location to save the video and give it a title.
  8. 8. The video will download. It will save to the location you indicated. Double click to open.
  9. 9. The video can be viewed in a media player (Quicktime, Windows Media Player, etc.) or can be embedded into a presentation (PowerPoint, Promethean Flipchart, etc.).
