  3. 3. What is Show Choir?<br />A musical group that combines singing contemporary music and dancing into performances<br />Originally referred to as “swing” choir<br />One of the most common dance moves is “jazz” hands<br />
  4. 4. <ul><li>Average size of show choir is 30-50 people
  5. 5. Show Choir is most common in high school
  6. 6. Average size is anywhere from 10-50 people </li></li></ul><li>Costumes<br />Character Shoes<br /><ul><li>Matching uniforms are a MUST!
  7. 7. No set dress code
  8. 8. Any shoes can be worn but character shoes are best for dancing</li></li></ul><li>Auditions<br />Must be able to sing all types of music such as:<br />Jazz<br />Pop<br />Musical Theatre etc.<br />Singing Audition <br />Dancing Audition<br />
  9. 9. Competitions<br />Also known as Invitational’s Usually held at high school auditoriumsCompetitons last anywhere from an afternoon to an entire weekend Audiences range from 50-7000 people<br />
