  2. 2. Location and Climate<br /><ul><li> The Iroquois Indians lived inNew York, Kentucky, Mississippi, and Eastern Canada.
  3. 3. The climate in the summer is 73°F and in the winter it is 30°F.</li></li></ul><li>Home Structure and Family Structure<br /><ul><li>They lived in longhouses made with little trees and elm bark.
  4. 4. They lived in the longhouse with up to 12 families related by the women.</li></li></ul><li>Food<br /><ul><li>They ate corn, beans, squash, deer, bear, elk, beaver, fruit, fish, wild roots, greens, berries, nuts, maple syrup, and wild turkey.</li></li></ul><li>Clothing & Tools<br /><ul><li>The Iroquois wear leather pants, moccasins, shirts, and grass dresses.
  5. 5. Their tools included snares, spears, clubs, shields, flint knives, and bow-and-arrows.</li></li></ul><li>Religious Beliefs & Communication<br /><ul><li>They believed that Orenda was their god.
  6. 6. They had the Tuscarora, Nottoway, Mohawk, Oneida, Cayuga, Onondaga, Seneca, Huron, Wyandot, Laurentian, Susquehannock, and the Cherokee language.</li></li></ul><li>Arts & Crafts<br /><ul><li>They made Wampum belts, pots, baskets, cradle boards, bead necklaces, melting pots, and mask carving.</li></li></ul><li>Other Important Information<br /><ul><li>The Iroquois played a game called bowl-and-dice and played music with drums and flutes.</li>
