supplies civilian assistance to 20 others, mostly medical
in nature. Many Cuban doctors are very willing to leave
Cuba.
Perhaps that is is because many physicians in Cuba make
as little as $30 a month…
3. The similar philosophies of José Martí and Simón Bolívar
have made Cuba and Venezuela close allies, both vigorously
espousing the cause of Latin American freedom from US
domination.
They have collaborated on several medical and other aid
missions to various Latin American and Caribbean nations
over the last decade, and share common ideals of good
public health care, increasing literacy, and
“actively pushing for a more humane economic and
social system”

5. Although the E.U. has serious humanitarian issues
with Castro’s regime, it maintains favorable trade
relations with Cuba.
China, Russia, and Iran, among others, have good
relations with Cuba. China and Russia are both
discussing the possibility of putting military bases
in Cuba…
