  3. 3. Four Dimensions of Renewal
  4. 4. Physical Dimension• The physical dimension involves caring effectively for our physical body-  eating right,  getting enough rest and relaxation,  sufficient exercise keeps both your body and mind healthy.
  5. 5. Spiritual DimensionThe spiritual dimension involves your core ,your center, your commitment to your value system.It’s a very private area of life and a supremely important one.It draws upon the sources that inspire and uplift you and tie you to the timeless truths of all humanity, and people do it very, very differently.
  6. 6. Mental DimensionMost of our mental development and study discipline comes through formal education.Education- continuing education, continually honing and expanding the mind-is vital mental renewal.It is extremely valuable to train the mind to stand apart and examine its own program.Organising and planning represent other forms of mental renewal.“It is said that wars are won in the general’s tent”.
  7. 7. Social Dimension The Social/Emotional Dimension is our investment and interaction with others around us including-how we listen and communicatehow we build and develop relationshipswhether or not we give or take in our interactions with othershow secure we feel within ourselves
  8. 8. Contd.The physical ,spiritual and mental dimension’s are closely related to habit 1 ,2,3 which are :-• Personal vision• Leadership.• Management. Where as social/emotional dimension focuses on habits 4,5,6 which are :-• Interpersonal leadership.• Empathic communication.• Creative cooperation.
  9. 9. Dimensional BalanceWhile each of the four dimensions is important on it’s own, the greatest benefit will be seen by continually seeking to improve them all in balance. Each dimension affects the others, and neglecting any one of them is really the same as neglecting them all – you will limit yourself, and prevent yourself living up to your potential unless you actively seek balance between these four
  10. 10. Self-RenewalThe self-renewal process must include balanced renewal in all four dimensions of our lives.
  11. 11. Synergy in RenewalRenewal in any dimension increases our ability to live at least one of the Seven Habits.Improvement in one habit synergistically increases our ability to live the rest.
  12. 12. OBSTACLESWhat obstacles do you think that you will face or are facing that may hinder you from “Sharpening Your Saw?”
  13. 13. “You can’t makefootprints in the sandsof time by sitting onyour butt, And whowants to leave buttprints in the sands oftime?”
