PLAN AHEAD.<br />Thanksgiving Inquiry Project<br />Objective: <br />SW investigate the history, culture, and traditions behind Thanksgiving in the United States using technology, the Big 6 research model, and print materials.<br />Materials: <br />Computer with Internet access (before school or after school in the library; public library; selected classroom lab days)<br />Creative materials such as poster board, paint, fabric, construction paper, glue, tape, scissors, etc. (Basic supplies such as paper, glue stick, tape, and scissors are provided by the school for classroom use.)<br />Research notes that document student inquiry from start to finish (managed by student in his or her binder for the duration of the project<br />Procedures: <br />Read project handouts through in their entirety to make sure you understand Mrs. Bentheim’s expectations.<br />Complete Big6 #1, #2, #3, #4, and #5 PRIOR to beginning your inquiry.<br />Begin research.
