We operateand live by a strong code of conduct, maintaining our high standards of care andensuring your own high expectations are never disappointed.• We fully comply with OFSTED guidelines on staff-to-child ratios:• One member of staff to three children under the age of two• One member of staff to four children between the ages of two and three• One member of staff to eight children between the ages of three and five.• Nearly all our nursery staff are NVQ-qualified and first aid trained.• All our nursery staff have completed a full Criminal Records Bureau check.Our nursery managers are responsible for the day-to-day running of the nursery,ably supported by their nursery staff as well as our vastly experienced operationsand management team at head office.

Settling in gentlyThe first time you and your child separate can be deeply upsetting… for both of you.Our sympathetic, experienced staff are highly skilled at managing this difficult transition,making the whole process smoother and less traumatic.Your child will be assigned a keyworker who is personally responsible for ensuring thattheir introduction to nursery life is as natural and stress-free as possible. You will ofcourse be able to stay with your child until they settle in – after which we’ll encourageyou to leave for short periods of time until they become used to your absence.Our aim is to ensure your child’s routines reflect what they are used to doing at home asclosely as possible (especially if they are very young). So we’ll ask for lots of informationabout their sleeping and feeding routines… their food and activity preferences… andother important things like your contact details, who will be collecting your child on aregular basis and so on.Meal timesAs you know, a balanced diet is crucial to your child’s development. Our nursery team willprovide a varied menu, designed to appeal to children taste buds while meeting their keynutritional needs. Where possible food is prepared on-site with ingredients sourced fromcarefully selected local suppliers. Vegetarians, children on special medical diets, childrenwith religious requirements and those with food allergies are also catered for, with eachday’s menu clearly displayed in the nursery.

  6. 6. Safe and soundYour child’s safety and security is our number one priority – and always will be. We wantyou to feel completely confident about leaving the most important person in your life inour care and under our protection.That’s why our inside and outside areas are all ‘play safe’, with fences, doors,locks and gates fully secured, regularly checked and constantly monitored.Thanks to the childcare recruitment side of our business we can employ the highestcalibre of staff. No-one is allowed to work at your nursery who hasn’t been fullyinterviewed, with references verified and a full CRB check carried out.Just as importantly, no-one is allowed on our premises who is not known to one of ourteam. We operate a stringent secure-door entry system so that staff can perform a checkon anyone seeking to gain access.Finally, you’ll be asked to specify who will regularly drop off and pick up your child.If anyone else is going to do this we ask that you notify the nursery in advance.Whoever it is will need to provide proof of identity and a password set by you beforebeing admitted.

  9. 9. Tinies Expectations of you& Your Expectations of usThese terms and conditions govern the basis on whichwe agree to provide childcare services to you.1. OBLIGATIONS ON TINIES CHILDCARE1.1 We will:1.1.1 inform you as soon as possible whether your applicationfor a nursery place has been successful. You mustconfirm within one week of receiving notification thatyou still wish to take up the nursery place. If you do not,the place may be withdrawn;1.1.2 provide the agreed childcare facilities for your child atthe agreed times (subject to any days when you child’snursery is closed). If we change the opening hours ofyour child’s nursery, we will give you as much notice ofour decision as possible and, if necessary, work with youto agree a change to your child’s hours at the nursery.1.1.3 Try and accommodate any requests you may makefor any additional sessions and / or extended hours ofchildcare at the nursery;1.1.4 Provide you with regular verbal updates as to your child’sprogress on request;1.1.5 Notify you as soon as possible of any days on which yourchild’s nursery will be closed; and1.1.6 Try to make available any of your other children a placeat the same nursery. However we cannot guarantee thata place will be available.2. OBLIGATIONS ON YOU2.1 You will:2.1.1 complete and return to us your standard healthrecord before your child can start at our nursery andimmediately inform us of any change to the informationprovided in that health record.2.1.2 Complete a medicine consent form if you require ourstaff to administer any medicines to your child (whetherthey are prescribed or over the counter medicines);2.1.3 Immediately inform us if your child is suffering from anycontagious disease. For the benefit of the other childrenin the nursery, you must not allow your child to attendnursery if they are suffering from a contagious diseasewhich could easily be passed on to another child duringnormal daily activities at the nursery;2.1.4 Immediately inform us of any changes to yourcontact details;2.1.5 Keep us informed as to the identity of the persons whowill be collecting your child from our nursery. If the personcollecting your child is not usually responsible for collectingthem we will require proof of identity. If we are notreasonably satisfied that an individual is allowed to collectyour child, we will not release your child into their care;2.1.6 Inform us if your child is the subject of a court order andprovide us with a copy of such order on request;2.1.7 Immediately inform us if you are unable to collect yourchild from nursery by the official collection time;2.1.8 Inform us as far in advance as possible of any dates onwhich your child will not be attending nursery; and2.1.9 Provide us with at least 1 months notice of yourintention to decrease the number of hours your childspends at the nursery or to withdraw your child from ournursery and end this Agreement. If insufficient notice isgiven you will be responsible for the full fees for yourchild for one month from the date of any change as iftheir hours had not decreased.3. PAYMENT3.1 Our fees are based on a weekly fee which shall benotified to you in advance of your child starting at thenursery (“Weekly Fee”). We may review these fees atany time but shall inform you of the revised amount atleast 1 month before it takes effect. If you do not wishto pay the revised fee, you may end this Agreementby giving us one months notice, by completing ournotification of leave date form, which can be obtainedfrom the nursery manager.3.2 Fees must be paid on a monthly basis, in advance. Wecalculate the amount payable by you each month bymultiplying the Weekly Fee by the weeks charged for ineach year (depending on the nursery at which your childhas a place) and dividing the total by 12. This will give12 equal monthly payments.3.3 All payments made under this Agreement must beby Direct Debit. Under exceptional circumstances wemay agree to payment by cash or cheque, but it isyour responsibility to obtain a receipt from the nurserymanager as proof of payment.3.4 If you have requested additional sessions or have beenunable to collect your child by the official collection timeand we have as a result provided you with additionalchildcare facilities, we will charge you for additionalchildcare monthly in arrears. We will amend the amountof your direct debit accordingly.3.5 If you fail to make a payment in full by the due datewe will enforce an interest charge of 2% above thebase rate of our bank on the fee outstanding forevery day the invoice remains unpaid, along with anadministration fee of £25.00. this will be enforcedwithout exception.3.6 No refund will be given for period where your child’snursery place is unfilled due to illness or holidays. Wherenurseries are closed on bank or public holidays; norefund will be given for this closure.3.7 Where your nursery offers a reduced fee rate after achild’s birthday that reduction will take effect from thefirst day of the following billing period.

SUSPENSION4.1 We may suspend the provision of childcare for your childand add 1 month’s notice, at any time if:4.1.1 you have failed to pay any fees;4.1.2 your child’s behaviour at the nursery is deemed by us tobe unacceptable or endangers the safety and well beingof the other children at the nursery. The suspension shallcontinue whilst we try and address these problems withyou.4.2 If your child is suspended part way through a month,under the conditions stated in clause 4.1.2 we shallgive you a credit for any fees you have already paid forthe remaining part of that month, calculated on a prorata basis. This credit may be offset against any sumspayable by you to us.4.2.1 If the period of suspension exceeds one month, either ofus may terminate this Agreement by written notice.5. TERMINATION5.1 You may end this Agreement ant any time, giving us atleast one months notice, by completing the notificationof leave date form.5.2 We may immediately end this Agreement if:5.2.1 you have failed to pay your fees;5.2.2 you have breached any of your obligations under thisAgreement and you have not or cannot put right thatbreach within a reasonable period of time of us askingyou to;5.2.3 you behave unacceptably, as we will not tolerate anyphysical or verbal abuse towards our staff;5.2.4 your child’s behaviour is unacceptable or endangers thesafety and well being of any of the other children at thenursery; or5.2.5 we take the decision to close your child’s nursery. Wewill give you as much notice as possible of such adecision.5.3 You may immediately end this Agreement if:5.3.1 we have breached any of our obligations under thisAgreement and we have not or cannot put right thatbreach within a reasonable period after you have drawnit to our attention; or5.3.2 we suffer any event of insolvency.6. EMPLOYMENT OF STAFF6.1 if, during this Agreement and for a period of 6 monthsafter the termination of this Agreement, you (directly orindirectly):6.1.1 employ or otherwise engage the services of anymember of our staff who has had contact with your childunder this Agreement in the last 6 months; and/or6.1.2 allow or permit the provision of any childcare service toyour children by any member of our staff who has hadcontact with your child under this Agreement in the lastsix months; then you shall pay us a figure representing20% of the relevant member of staff’s gross annualsalary at the time they left our employment and/or service. This figure represents the costs to us ofrecruiting a suitable replacement member of staff.7. GENERAL7.1 We have an obligation to report any instances wherewe consider that a child may have been neglectedor abused to the relevant authorities. We may do sowithout your consent and / or without informing you.7.2 If the nursery that your child attends has to closeor we take the decision to close due to events andcircumstances which are outside our control, we shallbe under no obligation to provide alternative childcarefacilities to you. If the closure exceeds 3 days in duration(excluding any days when the nursery would otherwisebe closed), we will credit you with an amount thatrepresents the number of days the nursery is closed inexcess of 3 days.7.3 If you have any concerns regarding the service weprovide, please discuss these with your child’s keyperson. If these concerns have not been resolved toyour satisfaction please contact the Nursery Manager.Customer satisfaction is of paramount importance to usand any concerns/ complaints will be reported to theappropriate Operations Manager for review.7.4 We carry a wide range of toys and equipment at ournurseries. Unless we specifically request otherwiseyour child should not bring any of their own toys tonursery. If they do bring toys with them, we accept noresponsibility for any loss or damage to those toys.7.5 From time to time we may have photographs takenof the children who attend our nurseries. Thesephotographs may be used for promotional purposes.If you do not wish your child to be included in thesephotographs, you should write to the nursery manager.7.6 As the number of children with nut allergies isincreasing, with the support of parents we aim to keepthe facility NUT FREE. Parents are requested not to sendfood or empty food packaging into the nursery. Parentsare also requested not to use creams, sun creams, oilsetc on their children that may contain nut oil e.g. arachis,as this may have sever consequences to another child ormember of staff.
