What did I do? <ul><li>Explained to students they only had one semester left in compulsory Italian. </li></ul><ul><li>My goal for them is to complete their compulsory Italian time </li></ul><ul><li>with a sense of </li></ul><ul><li>accomplishment. </li></ul><ul><li>Asked students what </li></ul><ul><li>they would like that </li></ul><ul><li>accomplishment to be. </li></ul>

What did I learn? <ul><li>Most students wanted to </li></ul><ul><li>learn Italian </li></ul><ul><li>Most students had speaking Italian as their goal. </li></ul><ul><li>Need to change my method </li></ul><ul><li>of teaching Italian. </li></ul><ul><li>Students didn’t make connection between the Italian taught to their desired goal. </li></ul>
